What MARÉ is
Short resets for everyday stress: breathing, grounding, writing and noticing, plus ambient sounds, small calm games and an evening mode. MARÉ works offline and without an account.
What MARÉ is not
Not a medical device, not therapy and not an emergency service. It diagnoses nothing, and no one watches what you do in the app.

Common questions
Does MARÉ work offline?
Yes, from the first launch. Only downloading sounds needs a connection.
Signing in and the backup need one too.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything in MARÉ works without an account.
An optional account lets you back up your data and use MARÉ on another device. You sign in with a one-time link sent to your e-mail address; there is no password.
How does the backup work, and what if I lose my recovery phrase?
Before it leaves your phone, your data is encrypted with a key made from a 12-word recovery phrase. Our server stores only encrypted data that it cannot read. If you lose the phrase, no one can restore the backup, including us, so write it down and keep it safe. We will never ask you for it. Health data is never included.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Me → Your data → Delete all my data and confirm. Everything on your phone is erased. Details: Delete your data and account.
Why do the sounds need a download?
To keep the app small, the seven sounds are downloaded from our server in the EU when you first tap them. After that they play offline. The download shows our server your IP address, which is kept in our logs for up to 30 days. You can remove downloads in Me → Downloaded.
What does MARÉ do with health data?
On iPhone, if you allow it, MARÉ reads sleep, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability and steps from Apple Health. It keeps one summary per day on your phone, for 90 days, to suggest a reset. MARÉ never sends health data to us, never includes it in the export or analytics, and never uses it for advertising. Me → Your data → Stop reading health data deletes it. MARÉ for Android does not use health data.
